Overview for the Week
February 20th, 2008
While, this was a slow week, there have been some awesome things. I AM really sorry for not getting them to you right away, so here it is…
- The Google Android was shown at the mobile conference. It wasn’t really much, since it was actually the emulator displayed on a Texas Mobile Instruments mobile phone. The actual OS is delayed. The Sony phone for the Android will be out in 2009.
- Firefox 3 Beta was introduced to the world, and I love it. It doesn’t seem buggy, and the address bar is an actual search engine for any website you’ve gone to. Type in a word that you found on a page, and it will search all pages with that word. It’s awesome!
- Pmog is a private beta site that allows you to play one game all across the net. A browser add-on docked at the bottom of your browser allows you to play missions and drop things such as mines. Then, when other Pmog users go onto the particular site, they get hurt by your mine. Creative, right?
Well, that’s basically it. I’ll try to keep you updated all of the time.
Audio Ads? No Way! (Yes Way)
February 3rd, 2008
Five second audio ads are making their way to websites near, or accessible, by you. Pay-Per-Play NetAudioAds just opened yesterday, and it allows webmasters to earn commission every time a person check out their blog. Why am I telling you this? Because this is what I am doing. The audio will probably not start until 30 to 60 days after this post, but once it starts, and you don’t like it, just go back to this post and complain. I’m open to taking this off if my users really don’t like it, but at least give it a try. Remember that I need the money to continue the blog. Oh, and if you want to try this out, don’t hesitate, you could still be a core user, Sign up here.
NOTE: You do not even have to have a website to earn the money. This program has a referral system too. Just sign up and contact you friends.

Right now, Sprout is in private beta, but you might be able to get an account with this. Just go to the building area, create something, save it, and it will ask you to create an account before you work is saved. There you have it!
Musana-Your Music Online
January 18th, 2008
Private Beta site, Musana is a website where you upload an unlimited number of mp3’s (only limit is 15mb a song) and stream them to your computer. Like other sites, you can also embed the players into your website. The website has a really cool flash and javascript interface. It is a really cool a pretty darn cool idea.
Create A Stunning Flash Website in Minutes with Startup, Wix
December 29th, 2007
In the past, creating flash websites or Flash greeting cards meant you had to be an advanced technoguy and use programs such as Adobe’s Flash, but Wix has a better option for the more simple minded and cheaper people. Using Flash themselves, Wix allows users to seamlessly drag photos and videos across the page, add effects and backgrounds to create your own world. Then you can easily embed your flash greetings or websites into your favorite social network or your website. My computer’s not fast at all and yet this website allows me to move fast in creating something special. As I have not yet finished my website (a project on Global Warming) here is an example of what you can do with these tools that Wix can give you. Right now, the website just slipped into private beta and I can see many bugs that they will have to iron out, so it may be quite a while before the site goes public. What can you do to ensure that you will get access at some point in the beta stage or at least be notified when it goes public? Sign Up Now!
(EDITORS NOTE : As I see more flash startups in the future, I have created a Flash Category.)
The Docsyncer Review
December 6th, 2007
I just received a private beta invite from Docsyncer. It is freakin awesome. You synch your documents with Google Docs and Docsyncer’s servers and then you can go anywhere in the world and not have to worry about printing your documents out, or forgetting them at home. All it takes is a download a small program and Bam! You are worry free. The program works in the background so that whenever you edit a document, the site uploads it. Docsyncer also has a time line, so you can view how your documents looked in the past. The site is working on a way to let you upload a document from another computer and send it to your computer so that the document will be open on your computer when you return home.
Hulu out in Private Beta (AND I HAVE Hacked INTO IT)!
October 30th, 2007
Hey everyone. So I was settling down to do homework, but was thinking about hulu which is a tv show website that combines all of th best shows into the site using flash. Sort of like joost and youtube combine except better. I pulled it up on my laptop and found out a way to hack into it to get an account. it’s really pretty simple. Just ask for a private beta invite, go onto the login page, click forgot my password, type in your email address, and bingo! This is the main page. It is really just straight forward. The big banner is from flash and you can scroll through allof the recent shows that way.
The video begins with an ad and before the add it speaks: “This is brought to you by____ with limited advertising.”
The videos are in flash and have related videos below it.
You can brows shows here.If you want more pics just comment in the comment section.EDITORS NOTE: If your a blog owner with many hits daily. I might give you the secret.
Double the Private Beta-Double the Fun
October 9th, 2007
Mixaloo is a private beta website that allows you to create mixes of songs and then sell them in either their site, or other social networks including facebook for points that can be used on other tracks or merchandise from the store. The only problem with this, is that the music is DRM protected.
Seesmic is supposedly a dashboard for all of your videos. You can grab your videos from youtube and many other sites that carry videos. It is like a twitter for videos.
Free P.C. Based Unlimited Phone Calling
September 26th, 2007
Ever since you had to start paying or Skype phone calls, I had my eyes wandering for a new free VOIP service. Today, I might’ve found it. Thepudding gives free phone calling to anyone within U.S. and Canada. The only catch is that a computer in the background translates what you and the person on the other line says. Then, it posts relevant ads about that topic. They claim to erase your conversation afterwards This shouldn’t be a problem for gmail users, being that a computer on gmail’s servers already reads your emails and then finds relevant ads. Everybody wins! Oh yeah. It’s in private beta right now. Sign up here!
Flock-Not a Flock of Birds But a Private Beta
September 17th, 2007
Flock is a web browser based on the Mozilla open-source project that connects people to social networks so you can browse the net while knowing what your friends are doing. You can download the old browser, but the new one, which seems to be the best, is nearing private beta. I’ll let you know when this happens. Or just click that link and sign up
